Hear and Say was founded by Dr Dimity Dornan AO and is a world-leading Paediatric Auditory-Verbal and cochlear implant charity reaching out across Queensland and beyond. Now in its 25th year, Hear and Say has been supporting parents to help their deaf child to hear, listen and speak since 6 July, 1992.

Hear and Say CEO, Chris McCarthy welcomed Mobile Central 24/7’s announcement.

“We have greatly appreciated the long-standing partnership we have with Suncorp Stadium, and are now thrilled to have Mobile Central 24/7 on board in 2018,” Mr McCarthy said.

“This support truly does make a difference in ensuring we can give children with hearing loss the very best start in life.”

Joe Stagnitti and Julian Yates – Directors of the Brisbane-based vending machine company – said they were very proud to be able to make today’s announcement.

“Hear and Say does vital work all over Queensland,” Stagnitti said.

“While working with Suncorp Stadium, a host of two Mobile Central 24/7 machines, we heard more about the great work Hear and Say are doing and immediately wanted to get involved.

“It is our hope that through this program in 2018, we will be able to help contribute to the continuation of the very important work Hear and Say does for Queensland children.”

Suncorp Stadium General Manager, Alan Graham welcomed this exciting initiative.

“We have been proud to support the outstanding work undertaken by Hear and Say in working with medical professionals and families to achieve the best outcomes for deaf children,” he said.

“Through our annual Stadium Golf Day, we have raised more than $320,000 for Hear and Say over the past eight years. We have sponsored three young children in that time and have watched with pride as they grew and developed in confidence as a result of the wonderful work undertaken by Hear and Say.

“We thank Mobile Central 24/7 – one of our commercial partners at the Stadium – for coming on board and supporting Hear and Say in this manner,” Mr. Graham said.

Hear and Say employs more than 60 staff across five centres around Queensland, and via a Telepractice Program serving rural, remote and international children and families. Today their programs are reaching out to 900 children and young adults, providing specialist support, and delivering its school hearing screening program, ‘Hear to Learn’, to more than 10,000 school students each year. Clinical services encompass Audiology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Social Skills Programs, and Listening and Spoken Language Therapy. Hear and Say is also the only centre in Australia to run a program dedicated to the rare conditions Microtia and Atresia.
